Dev-log [1]


M1A1 tank prototype.

Currently, I will try to code the prototype the tank model, includes tank wheel, turret, vehicle physic... I will do all possible effects to make the tank look real. One of the difficult task is physic simulation of the tank. How it interact with other tanks & the ground.

If the prototype is OK, other tank will be quite easy to code.

Then, next step will be the hardest part... it is the network system.
It enable the game to be play over a LAN. It is planned to enable 8 players ( 4 vs 4) battle.
Should be exciting.

Guess What? What is the new title....

Yes, The new title is exciting as I said.
And it is a war game, which user controls a tank in battlefield.
Combat as a team ( 4 vs 4 ), and the title will be named "Silver Armor" [temp]

As you can see, tank will be the main focus of this project,
and I spend a long time in reviewing moden tank information... that make me a 'tank expert'...!! : P

I will keep on writting the dev-log of this project until the project end ... :P

About me.

I am a game programmer. Call me John.
And I start my game career in 2002...... another long story.....!!

I work in game industry for about 3 years......
and I only work on 2 complete projects so far...... so, I am a newbie in game-dev.

The previous 2 project is 2D game only. {let me learn about directx, SDL, linux, network programming,... } I learn a lot.... Will be cover these interesting experience later.

And now, another exciting project, a 3D game, which is a new challenge for me.
Coz I never write 3D games, only learn some theory in University.

This is a beginning...

a beginning for my first blog, which telling a story of my game,
to be specific - an Arcade Game.

The story hopefully will be one year+ long.
